I love the expression of creativity in all its forms.
My Father is a 5th generation woodcarver.
My Mother carries on her family tradition of expression through quilting and sewing.
The innate desire to create runs through my veins.
Somewhere along my long and winding path of creative discovery, I happened upon the art of floral design and have yet to look back.
I'm awed by the miracle of one bloom and the infinite color palette of nature. I'm drawn to old-world influenced design. Lush yet untamed, classic with a bit of whimsy. My true creativity is most organically realized when creating for comfortable, understated and humble gatherings.
I believe quality trumps quantity. Every time.
I have been lucky enough to have trained and worked alongside some of the nation's leading floral designers, including Sarah Winward of Honey of a Thousand Flowers, Ashley Beyer of TInge Floral, Lizy Bowden of Lizy Bowden Floral, Erin Benzakein of Floret, and Nicole Land of Soil and Stem.
Above all, the love and devotion of my Husband, son, two little gals, and a couple of pups enable and inspire me everyday to intentionally leave my mark. My hope is that small mark may be one of goodness, beauty and love.
Mel Haupt Floral is located in the foothills of Mapleton, Utah, serves the greater Provo-SLC area and is available for travel beyond. Obviously.
